Aku definisikan Tuhan secara paling ringkasnya sebagai satu lembaga yang mengatur dunia dengan kehendak dan kebijaksanaannya. Itu konsep paling asas tuhan dalam apa-apa agama pun.

Tadi (semalam), masa tengah seronok baca wikipedia aku jumpa ni:

Offa Rex Anglorum (Raja Anglo Offa) kononnya ialah Raja Inggeris yang kedua terhebat ketika zaman medieval selepas Aelfred Rex Saxonum (Raja Saxon Alfred). Ada yang tanya King Arthur nombor berapa? King Arthur bukan orang Inggeris. Dia Raja Celtic Britons, dan tak tahu langsung cakap English.

Sejak tiga hari lepas asyik dapat missed call dari nombor talian tetap yang tak dikenali. Sebenarnya bukan missed call pun. Cuma aku yang tak perasan bila dia call. Nombor tu - 03-78416666 - cantik, mulanya aku saspek tu nombor balai polis atau bomba. Pergh ada apa sial bomba cari aku? Aku bakar rumah siapa? Tapi bila aku try call, mesin operator yang jawap. Mula rasa nak hangen. Ni mesti Astro punya supplier buat spam call. Akan tetapi bila aku check, nombor tu sebenarnya milik Boustead Petroleum Marketing Sdn Bhd. Sejak bila pulak BHPetrol buat spam call. Dia nak call aku nak jual minyak hitam ke? Maaflah walaupun kereta saya cikai tapi dia tak minum minyak hitam murah (Peh, belagak!).

Tak lama kemudian ketika aku menyemak emel, di celah-celah lambakan emel pesbuk, yutiub, yuna, lina, ebei dan sebagainya aku terjumpa seketul emel dari cik Siti BHPetrol berbunyi:

Jadinya nak bagitau aku dapat 2 tiket X-Men:First Class (bukan tiket first class). Tu je. Tapikan, aku nak kereta Inspira bukan nak tiket. Isi minyak beratus-ratus bagi aku tiket je. Terima kasih. Tapi lepas ni bagi Inspira pulak ye.



X-Men:First Class - Movie dalam senarai wajib tonton 2011. Kisah Charles dan Erikk zaman muda-muda sebelum jadi Prof X dan Magneto. Dah lama aku tunggu cerita ni!

Download untuk filem Sang Pencerah, yang aku sibuk-sibuk cari dari tahun lepas tu dah ada di Jiwang.org sejak awal bulan ni. Tapi sampai saat dan waktu ini, masih gagal mendownload kerana kelajuan download yang macam bastard (astaghfirullah). Download tak boleh split, kedekut bandwidth nak mampos (aouzubillahiminasysyaitonirrajiem).

Bagi yang tak tau Sang Pencerah adalah sebuah filem indon. Kenapa aku nak tengok sangat cerita Indon ni? Sebab filem indon ni adalah berkenaan pendiri gerakan tajdid - Muhammadiah - , Kiyai Haji Ahmad Dahlan.

Dahlan, seorang ulama muda menentang perbuatan-perbuatan bid'ah dan syirik masyarakat setempat yang disokong oleh ulamak-ulamak dari golongan kaum tua (contoh kalau di Malaysia macam amalan Anchak yang mamak Zambry buat tu). Kerana menentang amalan nenek moyang, dia dituduh kafir oleh kaum tua sehingga madrasahnya dirobohkan oleh kumpulan ulamak tua yang bimbang reputasi mereka digugat. Namun Dahalan akhirnya berjaya dalam perjuangannya, dan sekolahnya menjadi pertubuhan Islam kedua terbesar di Indon selepas Nahdatul Ulema.



Nota: Walaupun aku meminati filem ini dan beberapa lagi filem dari Indon, aku bukan peminat cerita Indon dan aku tak tengok cerita bodoh macam Suster Ngesot, Suster Keramas, Mak Lampir ataupun sebarang drama Indon. Ia berada liga yang berbeza. Pengecualian untuk Menculik Miyabi.

Kad Pengenalan Diri

Aku selalu ada masalah bila berurusan dengan pihak polis. Aku rasa bukan aku seorang. Mungkin ramai lagi rakan-rakan sebaya aku juga kerana nombor tengah pada IC kami yang lahir pada tahun 1986 serta beberapa tahun tertentu, berbeza dengan nombor tengah IC kebanyakan rakyat Malaysia yang lain yang berdigit di antara 01 hingga 14. Maka kami sering dicop sebagai kelahiran luar negara oleh anggota polis yang tidak cukup ilmunya.

Maka di sini disenaraikan nombor tengah IC dan negeri-negeri kelahiran masing-masing supaya aku dan rakan-rakan sebaya yang lain tidak lagi disalahanggap oleh orang-orang kurang berilmu terutamanya yang menjawat jawatan awam.

Happy Mother's Day

Anna Jarvis was born in the tiny town of Webster, West Virginia. She was the daughter of Ann Maria Reeves Jarvis. The family moved to nearby Grafton, West Virginia in her childhood. She graduated from what is now Mary Baldwin College in 1883. On May 12, 1907, two years after her mother's death, Anna held a memorial to her mother and thereafter embarked upon a campaign to make "Mother's Day" a recognized holiday. She succeeded in making this nationally recognized in 1914. The International Mother's Day Shrine was established in Grafton to commemorate her accomplishment. By the 1920s, Anna Jarvis had become soured by the commercialization of the holiday. She incorporated herself as the Mother’s Day International Association, trademarked the phrases "second Sunday in May" and "Mother's Day", and was once arrested for disturbing the peace. She and her sister Ellsinore spent their family inheritance campaigning against what the holiday had become. Both died in poverty. According to her New York Times obituary, Jarvis became embittered because too many people sent their mothers a printed greeting card.

The Ascetic Life of Jesus

Jesus said, "Blessed is he who guards his tongue, whose house is sufficient for his needs, and who weeps for his sins." [1]

Jesus said to his people, "Do not talk much without the mention of God, lest your hearts grow hard; for the hard heart is far from God, but you do not know. Do not examine the sins of people as though you were lords, but examine them, rather, as you were servants. Men are of two kinds: the sick and the healthy. Be merciful to the sick and give thanks to God for the health." [1]

Jesus said, "If it is a day of fasting for one of you, let him anoint his head and beard and wipe his lips so that people will not know that he is fasting. If he gives with the right hand, let him hide this from his left hand. If he prays, let him pull down the door curtain, for God apportions praise as He apportions livelihood." [1]

Jesus said, "Son of Adam, if you do good deed, try to forget it, for it abides with Him who will not forget it." [1]

Jesus said, "Strive for the sake of God and not for the sake of your bellies. Look at the birds coming and going. They neither reap nor plough, and God provides for them. God revealed to Jesus: "O Jesus, admonish yourself. Once admonished, admonished people. Otherwise, be modest in My sight." [2]

Jesus was standing near a grave with his disciples as a dead man was being lowered into the grave. they mentioned the darkness, loneliness, and narrowness of the grave. Jesus said, "You were once in a place narrower than this: in your mothers' wombs. If God wishes to expand (His mercy), He does so." [2]

Christ said, "Make frequent mention of God the Exalted, also of His praise and glorification, and obey Him. It suffices for one of you when praying, and if God is truly pleased with him, to say: 'O God, forgive my sins, reform my way of life, and keep me safe from hateful things, O my God." [2]

Jesus said, "Why do I not observe in you the best of worship?" They said, "What is the best of worship, Spirit of God?" He said, "Humility before God." [2]

Jesus used to say, "Charity does not mean doing good to him who does good to you, for this is to return good for good. Charity means that you should do good to him who does you harm." [2]

God revealed to Jesus: "O Jesus, I have granted you the love of the poor and mercy toward them. You love them, and they love you and accept you as their spiritual guide and leader, and you accept them as companions and followers. These are two traits of character. Know that whoever meets me on Judgment Day with these two character traits has met with the purest of works and the ones most beloved by me." [2]

Jesus used to say, "Truly I say to you, to eat wheat bread, to drink pure water, and to sleep upon dunghills with the dogs more than suffices him who wishes to inherit paradise." [2]

Jesus said, "It is no use to you to come to know what did you know, so long as you do not act in accordance with what you already know. Too much knowledge only increase pride if you do not act in accordance with it.' [2]

Jesus said, "Time revolves around three days: a yesterday which has passed away and during which you had been admonished, a today which supplies your needs, and a tomorrow in which you do not know what is in store for you. All matters revolve around three things: a thing which you must follow, a thing whose evil has become apparent to you and which you must shun, and a thing which appears uncertain to you and which you must defer to God." [2]

Jesus said, "What God loves most are the strangers," He was asked, "Who are the strangers?" He replied, "Those who flee (the world) with their faith (intact). They shall be gathered together with Jesus on the Day of Judgment." [2]

Jesus said, "Slaves of this world, instead of dispensing alms, be merciful to those whom you treat unjustly." [2]

Jesus said, "The greatest sin is love of the world. Women are the ropes of Satan. Wine is the key of every evil." [2]

Jesus used to say, "I preach to you so that you may learn. I do not preach to you so that you may grow conceited." [2]

Jesus said to the disciples, "O disciples, do not cast pearls before swine, for the swine can do nothing with them. Do not impart wisdom to one who does not desire it, for wisdom is more precious than pearls and whoever rejects wisdom is worse than swine." [2]

Jika benar Osama bin Laden dibunuh..

Jika benarlah Osama bin Laden benar-benar telah dibunuh oleh tentera Amerika Syarikat seperti yang diumumkan oleh Presiden Barrack Obama semalam, maka saya sebagai seorang Islam mendoakan rahmat dan keampunan Allah SWT untuk Osama bin Laden yang merupakan saudara saya di dalam Islam.

Inilah yang dituntut oleh Islam sewaktu menerima berita kematian saudara seagamanya. Sebesar manapun kesalahan seorang muslim, jika ia mati dalam keadaan agamanya Islam, keampunan terhadapnya harus dipohon oleh saudara muslim yang lain.

Adapun keterlibatan Osama bin Laden dengan keganasan, saya serahkan kepada Allah SWT kerana ia masih belum terbukti melainkan melalui propaganda yang dipelopori oleh Amerika Syarikat. Jika benar beliau terlibat dengan kegananasan, sudah tentu saya tidak menyokong keganasan tersebut. Bagaimanapun keterlibatan Osama dengan keganasan masih lagi merupakan berita samar yang tidak dapat disahkan, namun keterlibatan Amerika Syarikat sendiri dalam keganasan sudah terbukti.

Ini jelas dengan serangan terhadap Afghanistan dan Iraq yang menghancurkan kedua-dua negara ini dengan tujuan mencari senjata pemusnah yang tidak dapat dijumpai sehingga ke hari ini. Apa pula tindakan Amerika Syarikat terhadap Israel yang terang-terang melakukan keganasan di bumi Palestin ? Bukan sahaja tidak bertindak, bahkan Amerikalah yang kuat menyokong Israel. Justeru, jika Osama dianggap sebagai pengganas, maka Israel lebih patut disebut sebagai ganas dan penyokongnya Amerika Syarikat juga tidak boleh lari dari digelar sebagai ganas.

Inilah yang saya tegaskan kepada Duta Besar Amerika Syarikat yang datang ke pejabat saya pada 28 April 2011 yang lepas, bahawa sepasang selipar pun tidak boleh dirampas dari tuannya yang berhak, apatah lagi sebuah negeri yang berdaulat seperti Palestin, lebih-lebih lagi tidak berhak untuk dirampas oleh Israel.

Adapun mereka yang berkata bahawa dunia lebih selamat dengan kematian Osama, saya anggap kenyataan tersebut sebagai tidak cermat dan hanya bertujuan menampakkan diri sebagai penyokong Amerika. Jika dunia lebih selamat dengan kematian Osama, adakah dunia juga lebih selamat dengan kewujudan Amerika?
